Warranty Options

Every vehicle from UK Dream Cars comes with warranty options designed to give you confidence and peace of mind. We offer a complimentary self-backed warranty, with the option to upgrade to a comprehensive third-party plan.

UK Dream Cars Warranty

1 Month Engine & Gearbox Warranty

Only components approved by the manufacturer and fitted by their agents are covered. Any component not specifically mentioned is not covered.

This warranty covers sudden mechanical failure of major internal engine and gearbox components only. It does not cover wear and tear, servicing items, electrical systems, cooling systems, braking systems, steering, suspension, clutch components, fuel systems, seals, gaskets, sensors or control units.

ENGINE

Internally lubricated parts are covered including:

Camshafts and bearings, camshaft followers and rockers (including hydraulic lash adjusters), connecting rods and bearings, crankshaft and bearings, cylinder block, cylinder bores and liners, cylinder heads, internal bushings and bearings, oil pump and drive, pistons and rings, timing gears and non-serviceable timing chains, valves, springs and guides.

Burnt or pitted valves and valve seats are not covered. The cylinder head gasket is also covered. Consequential damage caused by timing belt or chain failure is not covered.

GEARBOXES (Manual & Automatic)

Mechanical breakdown of internal components contained within the transmission casing, including: Gears, shafts, bearings, synchromesh hubs and rings, selector forks, internal oil pump, torque converter (automatic) and valve body (automatic). Gearbox mechatronics units, sensors, and control modules are not covered.

CASINGS

Engine and gearbox casings are covered only where they have been damaged as a direct result of the failure of a covered component.

EXCLUSIONS (Summary)

This warranty does not cover: Electrical components or ECUs, braking systems, steering components, suspension components, cooling system components, fuel system components, clutch or flywheel, turbochargers, drive shafts, CV joints, wheel bearings, oil seals or gaskets (unless part of a covered internal repair), timing belts / chains as service items, wear and tear, pre-existing faults, overheating or oil starvation damage, misuse or continued driving after a fault develops, or emissions-related components including catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters (DPF), exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves, and associated sensors or control units.

For customers who want extended protection, we offer the option to purchase a third-party upgraded warranty at the time of sale. This provides broader cover, longer terms, and additional protection beyond our self-backed warranty.

What’s Included

  • ✔Electrics: Alternator, electric window motors, engine cooling fan motors, sunroof motor/hydraulics, horn, indicator flasher relay, starter motor.
  • ✔Electronic Control Units: Engine management ECU and original factory-fitted alarm & immobiliser computers.
  • ✔Braking System: ABS pump & control unit, calipers, master & wheel cylinders, pressure reducing & proportioning valves, vacuum servo.
  • ✔Casings: Covered when damaged as a direct result of a covered component failure.
  • ✔Clutch: Clutch cable, master & slave hydraulic cylinders and pedal assembly.
  • ✔Cooling System: Radiators, thermostat & housing, viscous fan couplings and water pump.
  • ✔Engine: All internally lubricated parts including camshafts, crankshaft, pistons, bearings, valves, timing gears & chains, oil pump & drive. Also includes crankshaft pulley and cylinder head gasket.
  • ✔Camshaft Drive Belts: Covered with documented proof that the last scheduled change has been completed.
  • ✔Flywheels & Drive Plates: Automatic drive plates, solid & dual-mass flywheels (excluding clutch friction damage), starter ring gear.
  • ✔Fuel System: Air flow sensors, fuel pumps, pressure regulators, injectors (petrol & diesel).
  • ✔Gearboxes: Manual, automatic, hybrid, transfer boxes and transaxles including internal gears, bearings, shafts, torque converter and valve blocks.
  • ✔Ignition: Camshaft sensors, crankshaft sensors and ignition coils.
  • ✔Oil Seals & Gaskets: Rear crankshaft seal, main gearbox input shaft seal, and other major seals requiring engine or gearbox removal (active leaks only).
  • ✔Steering: Column shafts, pumps, racks, electric motors, track rods & ends.
  • ✔Suspension: Wheel bearings.
  • ✔Transmission: Differentials, drive shafts, CV joints, prop shafts, universal joints.
  • ✔Turbocharger: Turbocharger units.

Optional Add-Ons (Per Claim Limit £250)

  • ✔ Air-Conditioning: Compressor & drive clutch, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, interior fan control switch, pressure & temperature sensors, receiver/dryer.
  • ✔ Handbrake: Drum brake self-adjusting mechanisms, handle control, cables & linkages.
  • ✔ Electrics: Central locking solenoids & motors, electric door mirror motors, electric sunroof motors and relays.
  • ✔ Sat-Nav & Media: Manufacturer-fitted radio, CD/DVD or satellite navigation systems.
  • ✔ Emissions: Catalytic converter, DPF filter and EGR valve.
  • ✔ Suspension: Bushes, hydraulic pump & reservoir, regulator valve & pressure spheres, self-levelling actuators, shock absorbers, wishbones, control arms, connecting joints, road springs and wheel hubs.

Each optional add-on is subject to a maximum claim limit of £250 per claim.
